Now Registering for Summer 2008: Summer Spin Sessions for Kids In these 2-week summer course(s)*, kids get a taste for DJing by learning the basics of mixing and scratching. Participants get a hands-on and interactive tour of DJ equipment and build confidence while learning to handle, play and mix records through Serato Scratch Live. Class members will receive personal instruction at their own Intel iMac creative station, and become comfortable with playing and performing music in these fun, exciting sessions. At the completion of the 4- week course students will have the opportunity to play their first gig for fellow participants, friends & family.
Highlights & Features:
We use an intimate one-on-one approach to help students build a solid musical foundation and develop their own individual technique. Through hands-on experience using leading professional audio equipment, students gain the skills to mix, scratch, and create their own music.
In our youth courses students develop a knowledge of music theory, the ability to
manipulate a track, and the confidence to showcase their skills.
Course graduates also:
Choose their own DJ name
Record their own personal mix
Receive 10 copies of their own mix CD with customized DJ label
Receive a Dubspot Graduation Certificate and T-shirt
